Coronado, a small city near San Diego is best known for the famous Hotel Del Coronado, beaches and sun drenched days. Sounds like an ideal setting, now add a brewpub and you have paradise.
The gentlemen behind the Coronado Brewing Company are brothers Rick and Ron Chapman, and brother-in-law Rick Divine. The beers are brewed by resident brewer Sean DeWitt, and the process is overseen by the head brewer Jon Atwater (known for his association with La Jolla Brewing Co).
The brewpub features a solid mahogany bar, stone floors, large windows, a view to the open kitchen, and The Bohemian Brewery Importers "Monobloc" brewery setup. The brewery is a ten barrel system with three fermentation tanks. The line up of fresh brewed beers varies, so multiple visits are a must. In addition to the beers the Coronado Brewing Company features a fantastic kitchen with wood fired pizzas, pastas, salads, and sandwiches.
Beers Brewed at Coronado Brewing:
Red Rock Amber Hops in both the aroma and after taste with a little crystal malt to sweeten this amber.
Three Brothers Pale Ale Hops on the nose, quite malty, with a lingering hops aftertaste.
Coronado Golden Light, Refreshing and popular with the Island Locals.
