Bayhawk Ales was formed in 1994 to produce and sell high quality, hand-crafted ales. To achieve our goal, the Company constructed a showcase microbrewery in Irvine, California. Rapid growth and phenomenal consumer demand for our excellent beer has encouraged Bayhawk ales to start bottling three of our most popular ales: Honey Blonde, Amber Ale and California Cerveza. Brewery leader David Voorhies built his dream in the McCormick & Schmick's Restaurant in Irvine. This home Brewer turned brewery entrepreneur is joined by lead brewer Jon Newman who holds a degree in microbiology from University of California, San Diego and Joe Scagliotti, graduate of the Americans Brewers Guild in Davis California. Bayhawk Ales celebrate the rich history of the Bayhawk Osprey in the Back Bay on Newport Beach. These elegant raptors can be seen soaring over the bays and along the Southern California Coast. Bayhawk Ales support the Orange County Bird of Prey Center.
Beers Brewed at Bayhawk Ales:
Honey Blonde The malts and hops have been skillfully blended to showcase the wholesome honey flavor and aroma. The pleasingly pale honey color is obtained by our selection of only the most lightly malted barelys.
California Cerveza The malts and hops have been skillfully blended to showcase the wholesome honey flavor and aroma. The pleasingly pale honey color is obtained by our selection of only the most lightly malted barelys.
Chocolate Porter We derive the deep chocolate color in our porter by carefully blending dark malts. A specially selected chocolate malt adds a slightly sweet flavor that we lightly hop to clean aroma and a smooth creamy finish.
Hefe Weizen An unfiltered wheat beer. A careful blending of wheat and barley malts produce the well balanced body and the light straw color.
